The 2016 Pirelli calendar takes a turn towards feminism and natural beauty thanks to the American photographer Anne Leibovitz, and her portraits of thirteen women known for their successes such as the tennis player Serena Williams, the artist Yoko Ono and the actress and comedian Amy Schumer.

"I wanted the photos to show women as they are, without pretensions," said the artist. For this reason, the images hardly have any photographic retouching: "they have been retouched a little, perhaps to clean them, but they are very simple and it was important that they remain that way."
The only semi-nude women that can be seen are those of Serena Williams and Amy Schumer, who do not wear a bra.
SCHUMER AND GEVINSON. The photographer spoke with great affection about the shots she took of the American comedian, in which she appears with a cup of coffee: "we were lucky to have her because an idea came to mind and she caught it right away and was bright".
